Aerdon Dock Leveller is a leading Canadian manufacturer with over 40 years of industry experience. Aerdon Dock Levellers have a constant smooth automatic operation from the time the control is activated until the loading and unloading is complete. Flip a switch and a hydraulic cylinder is activated raising the dock leveller and extending the ip. Release the switch and the dock leveller moves down under its own weight and automatically stops upon contact with the truck.

Length: The dock leveller length must be selected with many factors in mind. Click HERE to view the Dock Selection Chart:
  1. Size of trucks to be serviced
  2. Dock height
  3. Type of material handling equipment used for loading/unloading
  4. Size of load
Width:

The industry norm has been a 6' 0" wide leveller except in the following cases:

  1. A substantial amount of below dock level loading and unloading takes place as dock-sidewall interferes with process
  2. Side-by-side pallet loading takes place in 102" wide trailers
  • In either of these cases, 7' wide dock levellers are available.
  • Recommended distance between dock centres 12' minimal, 14' optimal.
Capacity:

Aerdon dock leveller offers a wide range of dock leveller capacities. Careful calculations should be made to determine the capacity required. Their dynamic capacity rating is determined by:

  1. Weight of equipment and load
  2. Number of shifts per day
  3. Speed of lift trucks
  4. Impact due to ramp slope
  • It is very important to order the dock with correct usable (dynamic) capacity not in pit (static) capacity.
